Hello! I’m Greenfield Precinct 1 City Councilor Katherine Golub.

I moved to Greenfield, Massachusetts, eleven years ago as the single mom of a four-year-old. Since then, my son has had amazing opportunities, and we have been grateful to call Greenfield home.

I joined the Greenfield City Council in June 2022 because I believe I have a responsibility to help create a better future for all of our children and our entire community.

I have loved serving you, my neighbors, in Precinct 1. I look forward to working hard for another four years to champion our children, fight for fairness, and strengthen sustainability.

My Commitments to Greenfield

My top priorities as city councilor are education, the environment, and the economy.

With these priorities in mind, I am committed to fighting to:

  •    Make the Greenfield Public Schools a model school system for our region.
  •    Promote climate resilience, environmental justice, and natural spaces.
  •    Increase economic opportunities and wellbeing.
  •    Expand affordable and accessible housing for all residents.
  •    Protect the safety, belonging, and dignity of all residents.
  •    Invest in strong infrastructure, clean water, and safe roads.
  •    Bolster access to public participation and representation.

For the past year, I’ve worked hard to make these commitments a reality as a city councilor and a member of the council’s Ways & Means, Appointments & Ordinances, and Initiatives & Referendums subcommittees. Additionally, I bring over a decade of experience as a professional facilitator, leadership coach, and small business owner, and a lifelong commitment to fighting for safety, freedom, and fairness.

It is a joy to bring my skills and experience to working for my neighbors in Greenfield’s Precinct 1!
